 has called Ten a movie made without a director\, relying on nonprofessiona

 gle take of a trip through Manhattan’s Lower East Side. This (almost) spon
 taneous action “documentary” captures the goings-on of the neighborhood in
  real time but gradually gives the lie to its provocative title (“It’s Rea
 l”)\, betraying its elaborate choreography in a series of staged events. T
