 ll engage in a lively evening of film and conversation about the impact of
  filmmaking on political events and organizing. They will screen clips fro
 m their extensive bodies of work\, including Rivera’s Sleep Dealer\, Why C
 ybraceros?\, and his new work ICE_EL Hielo\, and Berger’s Spring Breakers 
 Without Borders\, Narco-Mania\, and Now! (¡Ahora!) and engage in a public 
 dialogue. \n	\n	\n	Since 1995\, the satirical and unnerving films of Alex 
 Rivera\, winner of the prestigious Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award and Alfr
 ed P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival\, have q
 uestioned the complex relationship of technology to immigration and power.
  His creative work has also covered the real-life political organizing of 
 undocumented community organizers on both sides of the U.S. Mexico border.
  \n	\n	\n	Greg Berger\, a.k.a. 'Gringoyo\,' is a filmmaker\, journalist\, 
 and former producer for Mexican television network Telesur\, known for his
  humorous and sometimes controversial coverage of Mexican and Latin Americ
 an social movements on Narco News TV. He co-directs the video program at t
 he School of Authentic Journalism and teaches film at Mexico's Autonomous 
 University of the State of Morelos. \n	\n	\n	\n	Free admission.\n
