DESCRIPTION:\n	With an introduction by Matthew Weiner \n\n\n	Dir. Billy Wil
der. 1960\, 125 mins. 35mm print courtesy of the Packard Humanities Instit
ute Collection at the UCLA Film &amp\; Television Archive. With Jack Lemmo
n\, Shirley MacLaine. \n\n\n	I had seen this for the first time in film sc
hool and was bowled over by the dynamic writing and the passive nature of
its hero\, Jack Lemmon’s C.C. Baxter. It is definitely a story of its time
s\, firmly rooted in a Manhattan where seemingly regular men behave unscru
pulously\, and it completely engaged my imagination as a representation of
office and sexual politics at the time. It blends humor and pathos effort
lessly. −Matthew Weiner \n\n\n	This event is sold out. Tickets may become

it the Museum's admission desk after 6:00 p.m. to secure a position in the
