 ormal\, Structural film practices of a previous generation\, a number of N
 ew York artists in the mid- to late 1970s engaged the body\, meaning\, and
  narrative. Jack Goldstein engages popular culture in Shane\, Metro-Goldwy
 n-Mayer\, White Dove\, and Ballet Shoe (1974-75\, 10 mins.). In Doll Cloth
 es (1975\, 2 mins.)\, Cindy Sherman presents the woman’s body as a copy\, 
 and as an object capable of forging multiple identities. Ericka Beckman of
 fers the body in movement and a woman’s voice in song in Hit and Run (1977
 \, 9 mins). And Amos Poe’s film Unmade Beds (1976\, 77 mins.) is a loose r
 emake of Godard’s Breathless\, featuring a cameo by Debbie Harry. \n	\n\n
