DESCRIPTION:\n	Introduced by Richard Koszarski \n	\n	Presented with live mu
sic by Makia Matsumura \n\n\n	Dir. George B. Seitz\, 1918\, 180 mins. With
Pearl White\, Antonio Moreno. Presented with one intermission. Though Pea
rl White was best known as the star of The Perils of Pauline\, her best “c
liffhanger” serial\, The House of Hate\, has long been considered lost and
has remained unseen in the U.S. for almost a century. Why that happened\,
and where the film has been hiding all these years\, is a mystery almost
as complicated as the true identity of The Hooded Terror. Rutgers Universi
ty Professor Richard Koszarski will introduce the world premiere of a reco
nstruction of the legendary serial that Sergei Eisenstein compared to the
best work of Griffith and Fairbanks. \n	\n\n\n	Tickets: $12 ($9 for senior
citizens and students / free for members at the Film Lover level and abov
e). Order tickets online. (Members may also email reservations@movingimage
.us) \n	\n	\n	All tickets include same-day admission to the Museum (see ga
llery hours). View the Museum’s ticketing policy here. For more informatio
n on membership and to join online\, visit our membership page. \n
