 o-present this special screening of a new 70mm print of The Sound of Music
  from preservation work done by 20th Century Fox and the Academy Film Arch
 ive. Wise’s spectacular adaptation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway
  show is one of cinema’s greatest musical extravaganzas. Julie Andrews giv
 es an iconic performance as a novice nun whose life changes when sent to c
 are for the bratty children of a handsome military captain (Plummer) on th
 e heels of World War II. The Sound of Music bursts with unforgettable song
 s and glorious CinemaScope images shot on location in Salzburg\, Austria. 
 Tom Santopietro\, author of The Sound of Music Story (2015\, St. Martin’s 
 Press)\, will introduce the film. \n\n\n	This event is sold out. Tickets m
