 nia becomes a microcosm of a country haunted by history in this poetic and
  wonderfully offbeat drama. Manager Juli\, owner Beni\, and waitress Nora 
 all work together at Bota (Albanian for “the world”)\, the local gathering
  place that functions as the social center of their little town. Along wit
 h the café’s unconventional regulars\, the trio’s intersecting personal li
 ves form a captivating portrait of modern day Albania that ultimately touc
 hes on a particularly troubling chapter of the country’s Communist past.
