  finds a reprieve in Carver’s employ—a darkly ironic\, though also profita
 ble\, turn of events. In the avaristic free-for-all that followed the subp
 rime mortgage meltdown\, Nash’s cold metamorphosis from foreclosed to fore
 closer may be par for the course. Featuring an inspired and enthralling pe
