DESCRIPTION:\n	With director Manfred Kirchheimer in person&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n
 \n\n	Stations of the Elevated.&nbsp\;Dir. Manfred Kirchheimer. 1981\, 45 m
ins. Restored DCP courtesy of The Film Desk. This vital\, recently redisco
vered New York document is a poetic study of the visual language of subway
graffiti. Kirchheimer’s camera captures these colorful steel behemoths as
if they were paintings in motion. Backed by a pulsating Charles Mingus sc
ore\, this is the gritty city symphony film that early 1980s New York City
  deserved.&nbsp\;\n	\n	\n\n\n	Antonio Gaudi.&nbsp\;Dir. Hiroshi Teshigahar
 a. 1984\, 72 mins\, 35mm. The great Japanese director Teshigahara (Woman i
n the Dunes) was inspired by the Catalan architect Antonio Gaudí’s serpent
ine building designs when he visited Barcelona to make what is perhaps the
greatest film about architecture\, a work of cinematic poetry in which th
e organic textures of the buildings are inseparable from the movements of
 the camera.&nbsp\; \n	\n	\n	Tickets: $12 ($9 for senior citizens and stude
nts / free for members at the Film Lover level and above). Order tickets o
nline. (Members may contact members@movingimage.us with any questions rega
rding online reservations.) \n	\n	\n All tickets include same-day admissi
