 submissions\, director Richie Mehta fashioned a sprawling\, richly sensori
 al mosaic of the sights and sounds of contemporary India. Spanning bustlin
 g cities and breathtaking countryside\, India in a Day captures an extraor
 dinary range of people\, perspectives\, and experiences—from women speakin
 g up for their rights to a 112-year-old man who shares reminiscences of Ga
 ndhi to a glimpse of the country’s only transgender-run business—that refl
