 on\, Brenda Blethyn. In 1987\, NBC premiered the first of nine episodes of
  The Storyteller\, a series of classic folktales using contemporary filmma
 king and special effects techniques. With scripts by Anthony Minghella\, m
 usic score by Rachel Portman\, and a dog sidekick played by Brian Henson\,
  the show was acclaimed by audiences and critics. To honor the late John H
 urt\, the Museum will screen his debut as the title character of the Story
 teller in the Emmy-winning pilot “Hans My Hedgehog”\; “The Soldier and Dea
 th\,” which was directed by Jim Henson\; and “A Story Short\,” the only ep
 isode in which the Storyteller plays a role in the story he tells. Recomme
