 . Łoziński and his crew staged the retirement ceremony\, which the authori
 ties denied the worker. Switching from black-and-white observational scene
 s with color for the staged sequences\, Łoziński denounces the authorities
 ’ official speak and the cruelty of their bureaucracy.&nbsp\; \n	\n	So It 
 Doesn’t Hurt (1974\, 45 mins. Digital projection) In 1974\, Łoziński made 
 a documentary\, The Visit\, after watching a television program about a so
 litary woman farmer. Seeing how the government-sponsored media used the st
 ory for its propaganda\, Łoziński decided to show cinema’s interference in
  people’s lives. He continues his meditation\, this time in a gentler vein
 \, in So It Doesn’t Hurt\, in which he revisits the same woman some twenty
  years later. The film serves as a testimony to quiet endurance and intell
 ectual vigor. \n	\n	Anything Can Happen (1995\, 40 mins. Digital projectio
 n) Łoziński's young son befriends elderly people in a park and queries the
 m about universal topics\, such as the meaning of love\, of suffering\, an
 d the existence of God. The film’s idyllic setting\, uplifting musical acc
 ompaniment and the sheer beauty of its cinematography\, frame this hybrid 
 feature as a delightful farce in the spirit of Voltaire’s Candide\, or Łoz
 iński’s lasting inspiration\, Jean Vigo’s À propos de Niece.&nbsp\; \n\n\n
