 bi stitches together a politically and formally provocative history of Pal
 estine and Palestinian filmmaking. From eye-opening films shot by the Pale
 stine Film Unit\, a group founded in the 1960s to serve as the cinematic f
 ront of the Palestinian movement\, to footage of Jean-Luc Godard's visit t
 o Palestine for the making of Here and Elsewhere\, to sequences shot in mo
 dern-day Palestine\, Yaqubi deftly constructs a primary historical narrati
 ve from material that was largely captured by Palestinians but for dispara
 te purposes\, and most of which had been either lost or never seen in this
  light. Yaqubi's debut film is a pointed\, personal\, and profound essay a
 bout the struggle for resistance\, dignity\, and self-determination. \n	\n
