 y Walt Disney in 1956\, Floyd Norman was the first African-American animat
 or to work for the studio. He has been called the “Forrest Gump” of animat
 ion\, because he worked on such timeless classics as The Sleeping Beauty\,
  101 Dalmatians\, and The Jungle Book\, as well as the Hanna Barbera carto
 ons of the 1970s and ‘80s\, and Pixar classics like Toy Story 2 and Monste
 rs\, Inc. He has continued to work on his own\, and at age 82\, he plans t
 o “die at the drawing board.” The Hollywood Reporter called this enchantin
 g documentary portrait “an entertaining salute to an unsung figure whose c
 onsiderable accomplishments well deserve recognition.” In this rare New Yo
 rk appearance\, Floyd Norman will talk about his remarkable career in anim
 ation. The filmmakers Michael Fiore and Erik Sharkey will also participate
