 l documentary The Central Park Five examines the notorious 1989 case in wh
 ich five black and Latino teenagers were convicted of raping a white woman
  in Central Park. After the teens spent between six and thirteen years in 
 prison\, a serial rapist confessed to the crime. Immediately following the
  screening will be a panel discussion moderated by Saiku Branch\, Executiv
 e Director of The Afrikan Poetry Theatre (APT)\, addressing the still rele
 vant issues raised by the case. Panelists include Yusef Salaam (one of the
  “Central Park Five”) and community activists Erica Ford (LIFE Camp)\, Dr.
  Shango Blake (the Nation's Hip Hop Principal)\, Willard Beale (Queens Jus
 tice Corp.)\, Kenny Carter (Fathers Alive in the Hood)\, and Jamal Wilkers
 on (Urban Agenda Group). The screening is part of APT’s celebration of Bla
 ck History Month and is in line with the organization’s mission to support
  and enrich cross-cultural understanding and discussion. A portion of tick
