DESCRIPTION:IndieCade East is the Museum’s annual celebration of independen
 t games and the people who make and play them. The exciting weekend featur
 es dozens of new and unreleased games\, a packed schedule of talks\, panel
 s\, and workshops by designers\, developers\, players\, organizers\, think
 ers\, activists\, historians\, critics\, and provocateurs. IndieCade is th
 e country’s premier Festival for independent video games\, dedicated to th
 e discovery\, development\, and recognition of independent designers and d

 ity\, alternative content\, and games meant to be played in dialogue with 
 oneself or others. Have fun with friends\, and get some introspection on t

 shop with the brilliant mind behind Molleindustria exploring games that pr
 otest or games to be played in protest spans the digital and the physical 
 and explores how we represent problems of the world around us in search of

 am with Blinks: Results &amp\; Presentations \n		\n		Celebrate the work in
 spired by Jason Rohrer\, and made using Blinks by Move38. See the brillian
 ce and creativity of the indie game community through presentations on all
  of the games created in the jam\, and culminating with the announcement o
 f the winning games selected by a panel of accomplished game designers.&nb
 sp\; \n		\n	\n	\n		2:00 PM - 6:00 PM \n		\n		Play Walden and Night Journey
  with Tracy Fullerton \n		\n		Explore the visual work of Bill Viola and wr
 itten worlds of Henry David Thoreau through the lens of Tracy Fullerton's 
 game design. Play these two games with their designer\, one of independent
  games' foremost scholars and creators. \n		\n		\n		3:00 PM - 5:00 PM \n		
 \n		UCB Improv Workshop for Game Developers \n		\n		Improv comedians work 
 together to create funny and engaging characters\, premises\, and dialogue
  entirely on the spot\, with an audience watching. In this two-hour intera
 ctive workshop\, performers from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater will
  teach attendees improv fundamentals that double as professional creative 
 skills. Prompts such as 'Yes\, And' may be used to upgrade creative collab
 oration\, learn practical tools to feel confident when problem- solving\, 
 and loosen up creative muscles. Even without being onstage\, development t
 eam members can feel the same rush from collaboration that comedians do.
