Capturing intimate moments in the day-to-day lives of a host of the buil ding’s soon-to-be-displaced residents\, Vandekerckhove finds both tragedy— poverty\, illness\, addiction\, loneliness—as well as touching scenes of w armth\, humor\, and humanity.
