 ges and ideas. \n\n\nPreceded by The Black Panthers (Dir. Agnès Varda.1968
 \, 28 mins.) Turning her camera on an Oakland demonstration against the im
 prisonment of activist and Black Panthers cofounder Huey P. Newton\, Varda
  evinces a fascination with and empathy for her adopted surroundings. \n\n
