 ntered on the neighborhood of Astoria\, accompanied by short clips of Asto
 ria through the years. The conversation will be followed at 5:30 p.m. by a
  FREE community screening of local Egyptian artist Bassem Yousri’s film Th
 e Wardrobe Man. A reception with coffee and cookies will precede the open 
 house. The discussion will be led by Seung Hee Kim\, Director of Local Pro
 ject\; Dana Kuefner\, Program Director of Queensview / North Queensview NO
 RC\, Selfhelp Community Services\; and others to be announced. \n	\n	\n	Th
 e Wardrobe Man is a work of experimental docu-fiction by artist Bassem You
 sri\, who finds himself in the West Jutland area\, in Denmark\, on a resea
 rch mission about the life of the peculiar Wardrobe Man. Æ Skawmand (the W
 ardrobe-Man\, Kristian Vandet Jørgensen) was a hermit who lived in his war
 drobe by the shore of Oddesund\, Denmark\, from 1917 until he died in 1956
 . From inside Skawmand's wardrobe in Cairo\, Yousri tells the story of his
  research to his friend Shadi. The film combines documentary footage and a
 rchival material with fictional scenes. The lines between fact and fiction
  are blurred. In The Wardrobe Man\, Yousri attempts to grasp the relations
 hip between geography\, reality\, history\, and imagination. In Danish\, E
 nglish\, and Arabic with subtitles in English and Arabic. \n\n\n	Admission
