 Kolya across various borders\, each with its own history and shadowy deman
 ds\, and bringing him to various haunted monuments to Soviet progress\, to
  ghosts with remnant koans and axes still to grind. Extinction is a singul
 arly evocative meditation on the simultaneous fluidity and immobility of l
