DESCRIPTION:\n	\n	\n With filmmakers Arthur Pratt\, Barmmy Boy\, and Banke
r White in person \n	\n Dirs. Arthur Pratt\, Banker White\, Anna Fitch.
2018\, 90 mins. Told through the eyes of Sierra Leonean filmmaker Arthur P
ratt\, Survivors presents a remarkable portrait of his country during the
2014 Ebola outbreak\, exposing the complexity of the epidemic and the soci
opolitical turmoil that lies in its wake. The film chronicles two Sierra L
eonean healthcare workers during what is now widely regarded as the most a
 cute public health crisis of the modern era.&nbsp\; \n	\n\n\n	&nbsp\; \n
\n	The film is the result of a collaboration more than a decade in the mak
ing: In 2010\, American producer and director Banker White co-founded the
WeOwnTV Freetown Media Center with local filmmakers Pratt and Barmmy Boy\,
with the goal of supporting artists and journalists in the region. The co
llaboration took on new meaning in the context of the Ebola outbreak\, yie
lding this feature documentary that witnesses the bravery and humanity of
people caught in an unfolding crisis\, the devastating effect of the outbr
eak on families and communities\, and the misunderstandings between intern
ational NGOs and the communities they serve. With Sierra Leoneans’ distinc
t voices both behind and in front of the camera\, Survivors profoundly wre
stles with what it means to be a Sierra Leonean at this critical juncture
 in the country’s history. \n\n\n	\n Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and student
