DESCRIPTION:\n	With Wang Bing in person \n\n\n	\n\nDir. Wang Bing. 2017\, 8
6 mins. Digital projection. In Mandarin with English subtitles. After suff
ering from Alzheimer's for several years with advanced symptoms and ineffe
ctive treatment\, 67-year-old Fang Xiuying was sent back home. Now\, bedri
dden\, she is surrounded by relatives and neighbors\, as they witness and
accompany her through her last days in a small village in Southern China.
For a while\, it seems as though Mrs. Fang is content to use the camera as
a tool to unflinchingly record a human being close to her final breath. Y
et Wang Bing is after something completely different\, as the filmmaker go
es into different territory\, somehow more and less tangible than a portra
it of dying. \n\n	\n	Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and students / $7 youth (ag
es 3–17) / free for children under 3 and Museum members at the Film Lover
and Kids Premium levels and above). Order tickets online. (Members may con
tact members@movingimage.us with questions regarding online reservations.)
