 ns to strengthen the bond between the women left behind. Mother and daught
 er mourn together and separately\, with the filmmaking process simultaneou
 sly bringing them closer together while also affording Hannibal an observa
 tional distance. This debut film is a poetic and beautifully sound-scaped 
 portrait of mourners who refuse self-pity\, a film that captivates in its

 te\, Montana\, the film melds past and present\, biography and autobiograp
