  in 1931 for a better life in America\, all the while keeping alive in her
  mind hundreds of ancient songs she had heard as a child in her mountain v
 illage in Epirus. At the age of 103\, she returns to an economically depre
 ssed Greece and faces young people who\, like she herself had done\, are c
 onsidering leaving home. Music legend Lakis Halkias appears in the film.
