 Month\, the Museum will present a program of six Indigenous short films ma
 de by Sundance Institute Fellows—a program that showcases the diversity\, 
 creativity\, and immense talent of these emerging filmmakers. Organized by
  Sundance Institute’s Indigenous Program and Art House Convergence (AHC).

 r. Marja Helander (Sámi). 2018\, 11 mins. Examining the deeper questions o
 f the ownership of the Sami land through the ballet performances of two yo
 ung dancers.&nbsp\; \n\n\n	\n	Fainting Spells&nbsp\; \n\n\n	Dir. Sky Hopin
 ka (Ho-Chunk/Pechanga Band of Luiseño). 2018\, 10 mins. Told through recol
 lections of youth\, learning\, lore\, and departure\, this is an imagined 
 myth for the Indian pipe plant used by the Ho-Chunk to revive those who ha
 ve fainted.&nbsp\; \n\n\n	\n	Jáaji Approx. \n	\n	Dir. Sky Hopinka (Ho-Chun
 k/Pechanga Band of Luiseño). 2015\, 8 mins. Against landscapes that the ar
 tist and his father traversed\, audio of the father in the Ho-Chunk langua
 ge is transcribed using the International Phonetic Alphabet\, which tapers
  off\, narrowing the distance between recorder and recordings\, new and tr
 aditional\, memory and song.&nbsp\; \n\n\n	\n	My Father’s Tools&nbsp\; \n
 \n\n	Dir. Heather Condo (Mi’gmaq). 2016\, 7 mins. Stephen continues produc
 ing traditional baskets to honor his father and thus finds peace in his st
 udio as he connects with the man who taught him the craft.&nbsp\; \n\n\n	
 \n	Throat Singing in Kangirsuk \n\n\n	Dir. Eva Kaukai (Inuit) and Manon Ch
 amberland (Inuit). 2018\, 4 mins. Eva and Manon practice the art of throat
  singing in the small village of Kangirsuk\, in their native Arctic land. 
 Interspliced with footage of the four seasons of Kangirsuk by Johnny Nassa
 k. \n	\n	 \n	\n	   \n\n\n	Shiinaab Part II \n\n\n	Dir. Lyle Mitchell Corbi
 ne Jr. (Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians). 2018\, 8 mi
 ns. A look at Ojibwe ideas surrounding the death process as a young man st
